Second Mobility Summit: Focus On The Future

Urban development, real estate and transport – The second mobility summit, which will be held in Wolfsburg, Germany, on January 16 and 17, 2020, will focus on key mobility challenges of the future. Drees & Sommer experts Klaus Dederichs and Professor Dr. Markus Schmidt will be among the speakers.

(R)Evolution – intelligente Konzepte für die Verkehrswende (in English: ‘smart concepts for a changing mobility landscape’) is the title of Professor Dr. Markus Schmidt’s lecture that he will hold on the first congress day. He will present smart solutions for innovative mobility concepts. As Drees & Sommer Project Partner, Dr. Schmidt has responsibility for topics such as business innovations and smart mobility.

On the second day of the summit, Klaus Dederichs will give a keynote address on the subject: Digitalisierung vernetzt Gebäude, Quartiere und Städte (in English: ‘digital solutions connect buildings, neighborhoods and cities’). This lecture will deal with the requirements for networking between different systems and will give specific examples. Klaus Dederichs is Head of ICT at Drees & Sommer and responsible for the Aachen location.

The second mobility summit is being organized by Heuer Dialog. The lectures and workshops will cover various mobility topics such as e-mobility, cable railways as a local public transport concept and mobility hubs. One of the goals is to develop innovative and sustainable mobility solutions for the future which connect different neighborhoods.
