The topping-out ceremony for the new BMW dealership in the German city of Nuremberg took place on September 25, 2020. The BMW Group is investing 50 million euros to construct a 44,000 square meter building complex for sales and servicing for the brands BMW, BMW i, BMW M, MINI and BMW motorcycles. Drees & Sommer is responsible for project steering, construction management and quality assurance for the general contractor.

In the highly modern and spacious new car dealership, all brands and services offered by the BMW Group will have a shared home. The BMW dealership in Nuremberg brings together all divisions of the company in a single location to offer client-centered, convenient and efficient services with a comprehensive range of performance.

The building consists of three structural sections in which BMW, MINI and BMW motorcycle present themselves behind a 140 meter long façade. The façade design is based on the brand presentation of each of the vehicles. Over 90 vehicles can be displayed in the showrooms, and the complex offers space for 700 vehicles. Intelligent networking of the extended digital offer and on-site services aims to ensure that clients are provided with the best possible support. This includes features such as the implementation of a 24-hour check-in terminal where clients can leave their vehicles for servicing even outside the regular opening hours. In addition, from the outset, the new BMW dealership will be prepared for the needs of electromobility, offering numerous charging stations and high-voltage workstations. And the new premises will use the spacious showrooms to present the clients with innovative themes and services related to the mobility of the future.

The car dealership is due to open in the middle of 2021.
