After a construction period of approximately one and a half years the "Kaufpark Eiche" shoppign center in Ahrensfelde near Berlin reopened its doors in September 2017.

Drees & Sommer was appointed with the project management of the mall's revitalisation. The large extent of the construction measures which had to be completed during oepration within a short period of time made the project especially challenging. All measures were successfully completed in close cooperation with the local communities, investors, center management and tenants.

The number of retail units available was rasied from 79 to 130 and the catering area was doubled through the integration of a central foodcourt. Also, "Kaufpark Eiche" is now barrierfree and offers 3500 spots for free parking.
