Adjusting the management structure at the Drees & Sommer Group to match positive business performance

Drees & Sommer successfully continued to expand its foreign business during 2007. There was particularly strong improvement in sales and results in 2007 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where the Group is represented by Drees & Sommer Gulf LCC, headquartered in Dubai and operated under the Executive Board-level responsibility of Ralf Schwiede. The governments of the UAE have recently issued 'sustainable building' regulations applicable to both new construction and existing structures. In addition to project management, this is one of the fundamental competence areas of Drees & Sommer and takes the form of the business area known as 'Green Building'. Consequently, the partnership has decided to embark on a significant expansion of its business in the Middle East. A new company is currently being set up to help accomplish this; the new unit will bundle business in the Middle East with an expansion into India. Ralf Schwiede will move from the Executive Board at Drees & Sommer AG to the new company, where he will take over as CEO from 1 July 2008.

In light of this decision, in its meeting of 21 May 2008, the Supervisory Board has appointed two new members to the Executive Board, effective 1 July 2008: Dierk Mutschler and Peter Tzeschlock. Both new members previously served as Partners at Drees & Sommer AG. The area of concentration for Dierk Mutschler will be Project Management, while Peter Tzeschlock will be responsible for the Engineering area. Andreas Blaschkowski has also been appointed Executive Board Spokesman, effective 1 July 2008; the focus of his responsibilities will be the Real Estate Consulting area, along with the business locations of Drees & Sommer AG. The Executive Board areas of Finances and Controlling will remain the responsibility of Ms Gabriele Walker-Rudolf.

By taking these decisions, Drees & Sommer is tailoring its organisation to reflect current market trends, and successfully continuing its planned course of growth.
