Honorary Professorship for Dr. Michael Bauer

In recognition of his many years of successful activity as a lecturer, Michael Bauer, Managing Director of Drees & Sommer Advanced Building Technologies, was appointed an Honorary Professor at the University of Stuttgart on 29 September. 
 
As early as 15 years ago Michael Bauer delivered lectures at the University of Stuttgart Institute for Building Energy (IGE) in the fields of energy-efficient construction and building services engineering. Rector Prof. Wolfram Ressel and Prof. Michael Schmidt conferred the Honorary Professorship to him on behalf of the University of Stuttgart on 29 September 2009 for this academic dedication.

After his course of studies at the University of Stuttgart in 1999, Michael Bauer earned his doctorate with a thesis concerning the simulation of energy-saving heating systems, and was distinguished for his outstanding scientific work. Bauer joined the firm Drees & Sommer in the same year. Since 2003 he has concentrated as managing director and partner on the focal points comprehensive system planning for all trades, energy design, energy management and green building. Michael Bauer has published his knowledge in many publications and as co-author in the book "Green Building".
