Binh Tien Tourist and Investment JSC is planning a 5-start hotel resort at Cam Ranh Bay, south of Nha Trang. Drees & Sommer has been awarded the contract to undertake all project management services for the first stage of the project with a planned investment volume of US$ 100 million.
The project is being handled by Drees & Sommer Vietnam. The client specifically wanted a German company with long-term project management expertise and management experience. Binh Tien Tourist and Investment JSC is a subsidiary of the Hanoi Building Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Habubank), in which the Deutsche Bank currently has a ten percent holding.
In three stages, four resort hotels with a total of 865 rooms, and 18-hole golf course with clubhouse, a marina, 161 bungalows, services systems and accommodation for employees will be built on the 260-hectare site. The first stage involves a 400-room hotel, 50 bungalows and the golf course as well as the associated infrastructure. The gross floor area totals some 40,000 square meters, with completion scheduled for 2012.
The resort is being planned by the American architectural group WATG (Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo) of Honolulu and Seattle. Interior design and landscape architecture will be undertaken by Bill Bensley, Bangkok. The hotel will be operated by the Intercontinental Hotels Group.
