Stefan Heselschwerdt becomes Managing Director of Drees & Sommer Infra Consult and Development Management GmbH

Stefan Heselschwerdt has become Managing Director of Drees & Sommer Infra Consult and Development Management GmbH. The expert for Public Private Partnership (PPP) and sustainable local energy generation will now be responsible for public sector clients.

In the past ten years, Stefan Heselschwerdt was Managing Director for Drees & Sommer GmbH Stuttgart and was responsible for all public construction projects there, including numerous projects which were then converted to the PPP procedure, for example the Esslingen District Administration new building. Stefan Heselschwerdt also has many years of experience of working on hospital projects. He assisted with the Stuttgart Clinic new building and the Schwarzwald-Baar Clinic in Villingen-Schwenningen.

Focus on public building projects in the infrastructure sector
He will use his years of experience with public clients and PPP projects to support his future work for Drees & Sommer Infra Consult and Development Management GmbH. Due to this, an increase in public construction projects in the infrastructure sector is expected. With the changeover, from the beginning of 2010 the company's board of directors now has four members. Stefan Heselschwerdt will strengthen the ranks, consisting of Dr. Jürgen Laukemper, Roland Huber und Christopher V. Philipsen.

Development of SüdBau and work in education
Alongside his position of Managing Director with Drees & Sommer, the graduate civil engineer, assisted in the setting up of SüdBau Project Development and Construction Consultancy GmbH. Stefan Heselschwerdt has managed the company of the partners Drees & Sommer, and the insurance fund SV Versicherungen for ten years and will continue to hold this position. Stefan Heselschwerdt is also active in the education sector. He shares his knowledge as a visiting lecturer at the University of Stuttgart, the Sparkassenakademie and at further training events organised by the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects.
