The company's facility management consulting service ensures economic building operation.
Engineering For 40 years, the company has been a pioneer in the use and ongoing development of innovative technologies. These range from facade technology to the nerve center of the building. In the area of engineering, Green Building design plays an important role complementing services such as system planning, simulation, general technological planning and technical & economic construction consulting. Drees & Sommer is the market leader in Germany here, too, helping principals and property owners to economically reduce the energy and resource consumption of their buildings. This is essential as - in addition to ecological considerations - the focus is on long-term optimization of lifecycle costs, particularly efficient building operation. Where Green Building certification is being sought, Drees & Sommer supports the client in finding the most appropriate label and analyzes the costs, opportunities and risks involved in the project. The experts provide support throughout the entire certification process, and are also accredited to undertake audits in accordance with the US Green Building LEED standard (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), the British BREEAM standard (British Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) and the German DGNB (German Sustainable Building Certificate). As an active member of several international Green Building Councils, Drees & Sommer plays a substantial role in transnational developments in this area.
