Project management for Kempinski Hotel in Minsk, Belarus
A new Kempinski Hotel is being built in the center of the capital Minsk in preparation for the Ice Hockey World Championship 2014 in Belarus. Drees & Sommer is undertaking project management for the complex which has a total floor area of over 75,000 square meters and is to be built to a design by the renowned Moscow architectural firm SPEECH Tchoban / Kuznetsov. In addition to a luxury hotel with over 200 bedrooms, ballroom, conference center, spa, and fine dining, the complex will have an office center and exclusive apartment buildings. Construction of the hotel will start in spring 2011, with completion scheduled for the end of 2013. The Russian investor currently plans to continue cooperation with Drees & Sommer on additional Kempinski hotels, for example in Nishny Novgorod.

Rebranding Sberbank in Russia
As part of the "Development Strategy for Sberbank Russia to 2014" Drees & Sommer Russia undertook controlling and project management for implementing rebranding of bank branches. The project - which started in December 2009 - was successfully completed at the end of 2010. The bank's new corporate branding has already been implemented in a total of 20 branches. In addition to color design and logos, the FITCH design agency in London worked with Sberbank and Drees & Sommer to develop new floor plans for the branches. This also involved redefinition of work and customer service processes. Rebranding also covers refurbishment, office equipment, fitout and furnishings. Other projects are planned with Sberbank following successful completion of the rebranding project.

Project management for B. Braun Health Care Center in Russia
Drees & Sommer is supporting B. Braun Avitum with the nationwide technical implementation of dialysis centers in Russia. The Drees & Sommer experts are responsible for project management during all phases of the project from planning to commissioning.

Expansion of the Metro Logistics Center in Noginsk, Russia
The Metro Group has expanded its existing logistics center in Noginsk, Russia. Acceptance of the second part of the complex on a development site totaling one hectare was completed in mid February 2011. The "Metro Warehouse Noginsk II" project involves a gross floor area of 14,000 square meters. Drees & Sommer, as project manager, supported planning, construction and installation work. The experts supported the client - Metro Group Asset Management LLC - with the preparations for acceptance and commissioning, and undertook defect elimination.

Multipurpose urban district center in Kaluga, Russia
Drees & Sommer is supporting Wolfsburg AG and the City of Kaluga with the development of Kaluga, site of the company's Russian plant. A multipurpose urban district center is planned for the city, which has a population of 328,000, on the site of the old inner-city central stadium. Planning provides for a 9,000 square meter business hotel with conference rooms, a 32,000 square meter shopping center, and multipurpose sports and leisure facilities.

Audit management for FIAT in Kragujevac
FIAT Group Automobiles plans to build a modern automobile-production facility in Kragujevac, Serbia. The plant buildings of the former state-owned Yugoslavian company Zastava, where cars have been produced since the 1950s, are to be completely refurbished and strengthened. New buildings are planned in some cases as well; the group is investing a total of around EUR 1 billion in passenger-car production in Serbia. The project will be partially implemented during ongoing production at the site. Once the building work is complete, newly developed production processes will be introduced one area at a time.
Drees & Sommer is assisting with the project within the framework of a project audit and with project management consulting. Both during the construction phase and during development and integration of the production plants, processes will be tested that are relevant to ensure that the project is carried out on schedule, within budget and with the appropriate quality. The experts' task is to identify any deviations and initiate improvement recommendations. The project team will identify risks within the project and communicate them to the client, FIAT Automobiles Serbia (FAS). Commencement of building has been in the end of 2010.

Space analysis for Bispebjerg Hospital, Copenhagen
Bispebjerg Hospital in Copenhagen is planning extensive expansion and remodeling. At the end of 2010 the principal commissioned Drees & Sommer to undertake comprehensive project control. As the first step, the experts undertook an analysis of space with the aim of determining how the clinic had to be structured in order to ensure optimal processes and workflow. A master plan for the next steps will be developed on this basis.
