In July 2011, a connecting bridge will be added to the Frankfurt Main Triangel office complex owned by Main Triangel GmbH. The two parts of the striking building ensemble on the Deutschherrnufer riverside road will be linked on the fifth floor, allowing faster access between the two buildings. Drees & Sommer has been undertaking tenant management since the end of 2008 and has been commissioned with project management for the construction of the connecting bridge.
With its striking triangular profile, the 13-story building stands out against the silhouette of the surrounding residential buildings like the bow of a ship. Located on the bank of the River Main close to the future headquarters of the European Central Bank, the property is currently 80 percent leased. The goal is to lease the upmarket vacant space over the next few months. A large proportion of the leasable area was already fitted out between the end of 2008 and spring 2010. Drees & Sommer was commissioned to undertake tenant management and ensure smooth execution of fitout of a total of 16,000 square meters within the agreed timeframe.
Construction starts in July 2011
A bridge is to be built at the fifth floor to link the two Main Triangel buildings above the atrium, which is covered by a stunning glass roof. "The bridge will add value to the building by enhancing both functionality and the sophisticated architectural design", says Stefan Möller, Managing Director of Main Triangel GmbH. Work begins in July 2011 and is to be completed within a month. The project will be undertaken while the office building complex is in full operation. The project managers will ensure that inconvenience to current tenants is kept to a minimum.
