Description

Optimized workflows - The Kreissparkasse Tübingen (savings bank) moved into its new building in April 2006. The new building expands the bank's capacity and optimizes workflows. The design of the building is ecological and future-oriented.

Geothermal application - The building's climate and facade concept is a totally new development with triple glazing, facade profiles with high thermal insulation properties, as well as  thermoactive ceilings with edge-strip heating elements which also play a role in acoustics. This concept reduces the primary energy requirement for climate control by 68 percent. Geothermal energy extracted via drilled piles is used for heating and cooling.

Ecological and efficient - The DS-Plan Expert Team developed a future-oriented climate control and energy concept with efficient facade technology that met both the ecological and design requirements of the client as well as lastingly enhancing the economy of operation of the building.
