Well-being temple in the spa town - The Toscana spa is intended to boost the health resort of Bad Orb and lend it new impetus. The spa facilities with their impressive shell-shape roof construction will encompass an 800 square metre area of water. In addition to modern saunas, fitness and treatment facilities, the thermal baths will offer a special highlight: a liquid-sound concept - relaxation through underwater music.

PPP experience - Drees & Sommer has been assisting the client, the Kurgesellschaft Bad Orb, in this Public Private Partnership project since 2007. After an approximately one year invitation to tender and selection process, the contract between the client and the future operator, Toskanaworld GmbH, was signed in 2008.

Tight schedule - Visitors should be able to use the Toscana spa as early on as the beginning of 2010. To be able to implement the tight schedule and open on time the Drees & Sommer experts will be assisting the client in the supervision and control of planning and construction.
