Description

High-profile position - the Rhine embankment is the exclusive location for the offices comprising two amoeba-shaped buildings with an underground car park. Colorful facades underscore the unusual design by the architects Sauerbruch Hutton, Berlin, who have created a high-quality building that is flexible in use.

Prior award - Final award of contracts was not undertaken until the leasable area was 25% tenanted. In order to achieve cost security for the Owner, all invitations to tender, negotiations and preliminary award were binding for a period of 24 months.

Quality and cost management - Because of the status of the building, the Owner places equal emphasis on reliable achievement of the design and building quality and on staying within budget. Drees & Sommer contributed to a positive outcome by providing consultation on the concept for building services.
