Description

Flexible utilization - The SAP-Arena offers optimum conditions for a range of sporting events (including ice hockey, handball and riding), as well as for entertainment (concerts and shows), but also for shareholder meetings and exhibitions. The maximum seating capacity is 15,000. Ice hockey games can accommodate 13,700 seated and 3,600 standing spectators.  42 boxes, 430 corporate seats and a separate business area are also included.

Wide-ranging responsibility - In the course of the project, Drees & Sommer provided support in the selection of the prime contractor, managed building approval and disputes with opponents of the project, as well as undertaking quality assurance during construction.

Optimum utilization and timely completion - The success of the project was the result of professional consulting with regard to profitability, optimization of planning, development of a prime contractor contract, and technical & economic controlling of the Arena. Key priorities for the Owner were flexibility of utilization and the prompt completion in time for the start of the ice-hockey season on 02.09.2005.
