Description

Doubling of capacity and faster traffic -  The transport infrastructure aspect of the Stuttgart 21 project involves the remodeling of the Stuttgart railway node, the conversion of Stuttgart Central station from a railhead to a through-station, and linking Stuttgart airport into German Rail's high-speed network. A total of 57 km of new track will be built, 33 km in tunnels.

External influences - Communication of content and goals plays an important role for this complex project. Political discussion has resulted in ups and downs in the project's progress. Drees & Sommer Infra Consult and Development Management has mastered this situation extremely well, both with regard to content and capacity.

A close eye on costs - Long-term project management by Drees & Sommer Infra Consult and Development Management ensure a high level of cost stability. Risk management - particularly aimed at preventing additional costs - is a key role.
