The first office seminar of the new millennium was held on "Change = Opportunity". The construction industry is undergoing drastic change and Drees & Sommer is using this as an opportunity for a systematic adaptation to new market conditions. A vision is crystallizing: The Drees & Sommer group as a global network of management offices offering world-class services anywhere in the world. An international range of management and consulting services is implemented with strategic partners via a professional communication platform. As part of the overall strategy, Drees & Sommer - while strengthening core competencies - has identified important hot spots and deployed a network of competent offices.
Drees & Sommer has now advanced work organization and appropriate tools so far that is superbly equipped for future challenges with state-of-the-art tools and technologies. The implementation of international goals shows the strengths of the evolved corporate culture as management and employees work together in an atmosphere of mutual trust. The future is networked
In order to support integrated planning and general management, all new projects are now controlled via the internal knowledge management system: The Project Communication System PCS, an internet-based tool that optimizes know-how transfer between all project participants. In keeping with the dynamic TQM model, our network increases the sum of knowledge from project to project, further professionalizing planning, purchasing and management processes. The Drees & Sommer knowledge management system and integration of our own expert system form the basis for work with PCS. Our clients benefit from the growth in internal expertise, and construction will gain new impetus.
The overall vision for the Drees & Sommer is of a global interactive network based on extensive core competencies and promoting dynamic further growth of specialist knowledge. This will allow us to achieve a new dimension in project management.
