The second Global City Conference focussing on "the sustainable city" will take place from 17 - 19 May 2006. Global City is a platform for professional exchange and the setup of an international network for urban decision-makers from public and private sectors. More than 1000 participants from 35 countries are expected.
Following the inaugural address by Renzo Piano, Hans Sommer with his lecture "PPP - Solution or Pretence" will illustrate the framework conditions necessary to render Public Private Partnerships a sensible solution in terms of the construction and operation of necessary projects in public ownership.
