Drees & Sommer services for the EUR 75 million project include supporting the client with the search for finance options and hotel operators. Ulan Bator's first high-rise will have a floor area of 100,000 mē and features apartments, shops, food services, and hotel facilities. The design for the Twin Towers is by the Italian architectural group Finenco. Drees & Sommer will assemble and lead an internationally experienced planning team based in Shanghai.
Legal consulting for the 3-year project is being undertaken by the Beiten Burkhardt Shanghai office. The extreme climatic conditions in Ulan Bator mean that shell work can only be carried out between April and October. Drees & Sommer is basing planning and construction schedules on these conditions.
JKC is the first privately run Mongolian company to implement a project of this scale and particularly appreciates Drees & Sommer's broad range of consulting services, including design of space & functions, planning optimization, logistics, and building design.
