German Business Park FZCO has commissioned Drees & Sommer to undertake binational project management for the EUR 150 million new building in Dubai.
Construction of the unusual complex with a gross floor area of some 143,000 square meters is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2008.
The design, technology and energy concept of the building will be unique and reflect the finest German culture and technology. Drees & Sommer has been commissioned with project management of the building in Dubai Silicon Oasis to ensure that the project is completed within the planned schedule of just under two years, within budget and to quality levels based on German standards.
To achieve this, Drees & Sommer has established planning hubs in both Germany and Dubai. In this way, the project managers are combining German know-how with local competency. The Project Communication System PCS is being used to facilitate immediate communication between the two countries.
