CIMMIT, the annual Opening Congress for the IIR, will be held 30th and 31st January 2008 at the Hilton Hotel in Frankfurt am Main.
At CIMMIT, leading representatives of the real estate and finance industries will discuss the future of the German real estate market. The question of main interest at this year's conference is whether German real estate will remain an item on investors' shopping lists in future. Prof. Dr. Hans Sommer, CEO of Drees & Sommer AG, will address the role of efficiency and sustainability in new construction and portfolio development. He will also serve as moderator for the discussion following his brief lecture. The group of discussion participants consists of Ulrich Bollwerk, Managing Director of Vivico Real Estate GmbH; Volker Hermann, Director of HVM-IA at Fraport AG; and Dr. Matthias Jacob, CEO at Bilfinger Berger AG. These specialists will discuss trends in construction costs and the ensuing consequences for project and property developers. The group will explore ways of optimising costs and building as efficiently as possible. The programme is scheduled to conclude with discussion of new alternatives on the construction market.
