Marriott International has commissioned Drees & Sommer with Project Management support for the development of a number of new hotels in the Middle East.
This is part of the Marriott International Middle East expansion plan to add 16 hotels offering 3,515 rooms by the end of 2010. The Marriott hotels included in the Drees & Sommer program will be located in Bahrain and throughout the United Arab Emirates.The Drees & Sommer assignment includes three new hotels within the prestigious Central Market Redevelopment in Abu Dhabi, and beach front resort hotels in Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah and Amwaj Islands, Bahrain. The Marriott brands represented include Marriott Executive Apartments, Courtyard by Marriott: Renaissance Hotel International: and Marriott Hotels & Resorts. Drees & Sommer will monitor the overall schedule, cost and quality for each project. In addition, Drees & Sommer will be required to liaise with the Owners design and project management teams, and with Marriott in house teams to ensure compliance with Marriott operations, engineering, and fire and life safety standards.
