The German-speaking Community of Belgium plans to convert an existing building in Eupen, Belgium into its new seat of parliament.
Following a successful bid in an EU-wide invitation to tender, Drees & Sommer has been awarded the contract for project management. The project involves the restoration and renovation of the existing building as well as remodeling and extension. This will result in a functional high-quality plenary assembly room including appropriate infrastructure. The measures will upgrade the building to meet the demands of a modern official seat. The experts will support the project throughout its duration to ensure that the principal's schedule, cost and quality goals are met by commissioning in 2011.
