Relaxed atmosphere at tropical temperatures and a 15.000 Euro donation for the Opera Junge Oper Stuttgart
20.06.2005
On 19 June 2005, Drees & Sommer invited to the 11th traditional musical-culinary summer evening which bore the motto "Magic hands and magic voices".
Nearly 350 guests from politics, economics and culture were enchanted by midsummer temperatures and the newly arranged program of the artists of Stuttgart's opera Junge Staatsoper and the magician Julius Frack.
Under the topic of magic, soprano Christina Landshamer and tenor Ivan Tursic presented selected arias and songs. The magician Julius Frack meanwhile performed astounding tricks. When he had the soprano disappear from stage, merging magic and song had obviously succeeded. Mira Ebert assumed stage direction and Wolfgang Heinz, Musical Manager at the Junge Oper, accompanied the artist team on the piano, which received roaring applause for the premiere.
The Managing Directors of Drees & Sommer, Friedrich Hensler, Jürgen Laukemper of DS-Infra and Peter Tzeschlock of DS-Plan, presented Professor Klaus Zehelein, Artistic Director of the State Opera House, with a cheque for 15.000 Euro. "Promoting new talents is very dear to us," commented Hans Sommer the generous donation. Zehlelein received the donation for the opera house thankfully: "Investing into young talent increases in importance; these people are our future."
The subsequent "magical" buffet with pleasant talks and international encounters were a lovely close of the evening.
