The shopping center Belval Plaza I - the first stage of a three-stage multipurpose theme park - opened in Belval, Luxembourg on November 3, 2008.
Continuous schedule planning and control by Drees & Sommer ensured on-schedule completion of the shopping center. The Dutch project developer Multiplan Design & Development is implementing a modern urban living concept comprising Belval Plaza I, Belval Plaza II and the Tower. Leisure, shopping, work and residential facilities with an area of some 145,000 square meters are being built. The Drees & Sommer project managers are also monitoring other deadlines for the project which has a total budget of EUR 240 million. Belval Plaza II is scheduled to open in spring 2009.
