DS-Infra is majority shareholder of Switch

Retrospective to 1st January 2005, Drees & Sommer Infra Consult & Management GmbH acquire 51% of the hitherto 100% SSB subsidiary (Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG) Switch Transit Consult GmbH.

On 28th February 2005, Engineer Dr Juergen Laukemper, chairman of the DS-Infra executive board, and SSB chairmen Dr Peter Hoeflinger and Reinhold Bauer signed the contract of reorganisation of the Switch ownership structure. Switch is the consulting body of the SSB and active in the areas of planning and development of transportation systems and formulation of strategies of infrastructure and system technology. Switch also offers management and organisational consulting. Nowadays, clients increasingly require comprehensive, all-inclusive services. Drees & Sommer will in future expand their offer of services in the sector of infrastructure, thus optimally complementing the Switch range. DS-Infra supply consultation regarding financing, the compilation of feasibility studies, projections of consequential costs as well as strip maps and also effect standardised assessment procedures in the early planning phases of measures concerning infrastructure of public metropolitan and suburban traffic. DS-Infra and Switch have already proved their successful cooperation with the project "Mobility Turntable Augsburg".
