In early February 2009, the foundation stone was laid for the new, EUR 21 million thermal spa.
Drees & Sommer has been assisting the client, Kurgesellschaft Bad Orb, with this public-private partnership project since 2007. After a call for tenders and selection process lasting approx. one year, a contract was signed in 2008 with the developer and subsequent operator, Toskanaworld GmbH.
This wellness oasis, spanning some 800 square meters of water surface, is already expected to open its doors in the heart of Bad Orb in 2010. In addition to modern sauna, fitness and treatment facilities, the thermal spa also offers a special highlight: a liquid-sound concept, providing relaxation through underwater music.
The experts at Drees & Sommer will also continue to assist with project realisation in the form of project controlling.
