North Rhine-Westphalia is upgrading its universities - and the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf is being redesigned.
In March 2009, Drees & Sommer was commissioned by the North Rhine-Westphalia Construction and Properties Office and the Robert Schumann Hochschule to draw up a university development plan. Following an intensive inventory of buildings and cataloging of all stakeholders' requirements, the experts developed various strategies for optimum site strategies taking projected university trends into account.
The project benefited greatly from Drees & Sommer's networked expertise, with project managers, real-estate specialists, building services technicians and requirements managers working hand in hand.
