The BuildingAgency has the new building of the theatre under contract

After more than a year of application and tendering procedure the BuildingAgency AG together with selected planning partners has concluded the contract on the new building of the theatre with the city of Siegen.

Decisive for the acceptance of the tender was the careful selection of the executing firms in accordance with VOB/ A (awarding and contracting regulation for the construction performances). At the new building of the theatre in Siegen the construction partner model was carried out with a competition for the first time. All planners involved in the tendering procedure are partners of the project company and have a stake in the company risk. The pre-qualification procedure in accordance with the construction partner model of the BuildingAgency AG is implemented as first step for the selection of the applicants.

Drees & Sommer Cologne takes over the project control, the DS-Plan Mülheim is responsible for the construction physics. As early as with awarding the contract for the general taking over procedure the construction partner team immediately began with the planning in August and submitted the preliminary draft to the city as early as in the middle of September. In this general taking over procedure The BuildingAgency AG guarantees the fulfilment of costs and schedules. By means of a stringent internal controlling as early as during the tendering phase with the principle of several eyes all costs could be checked several times in the project company. This way, the guarantee risk taken was minimized. At the beginning of the year 2007 512 spectators are to take a seat in the new theatre house.
