Topping out ceremony at the Deutsche Bundesbank in Berlin

With the topping out ceremony at the beginning of October at their construction project in Berlin the Deutsche Bundesbank achieves an important milestone.

In addition to the complete redevelopment of a building part under a preservation order three new building parts are erected. The construction project was initiated in the year 1997 and soon will be finished after a long way. Since the beginning of the project Drees & Sommer has been responsible for the cost and deadline planning within the context of the project control. The speciality of the city centre construction project with altogether 43,150 square meters of area is among others the execution of "deep excavations" for four basements. At an historic place the Deutsche Bundesbank invests 230 million Euro in the extension of the location Berlin, the completion of which is planned for the end of 2006.
