Project management contract for DSD Shanghai

Shanghai Behr Thermal Systems has commissioned the company Drees & Sommer Shanghai, which was established at the beginning of the year, with project management performances for the new construction of factory plants in Shanghai.

On 1.2 hectares a factory hall, an energy central control office, an office building and a research & development centre are being developed. The new factory plant is used for the production of bonnets and air-conditioning systems for VW, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and General Motors. In addition to the factory enhancement the client plans a wind tunnel in the second construction phase. The building costs for the project are approximately 16 million Euro. As early as in May 2005 the production is to start, in order to be able to deliver first components to the car manufacturers in China punctually.
