Reconstruction and Expansion of the Böblingen County Hospital

28.09.2004

The new Paediatrics and Child-Care Unit of the Böblingen County Hospital was put into service in mid-September of 2004.
This allowed Drees & Sommer to complete its first step on the way to restoring, reconstructing and expanding the county hospital on time and in budget. A state-of-the-art child-care clinic was built in just two years time at 16 million euros with 70 beds including paediatrics and radiology wards. The entire project includes a new OP wing, intensive care and new sterilization units along with obstetrics built by the beginning of 2006 at an investment of 50 million euros. Since the architectural competition, Drees & Sommer has been guiding this project with extensive project management services making sure that they stay within project targets.
