An 856-hectare industrial site located in the core of Beijing will be vacated in the year 2010. Drees & Sommer is providing consulting services in connection with further development of the site.
Current plans provide for creation of a sustainable and attractive new borough on the site currently occupied by Shougang, one of China's largest steel producers. Together with their Chinese partner, the experts at Drees & Sommer are drawing up a comprehensive feasibility study for the planned adaptive re-use. The specialists are providing assistance particularly in the areas of a detailed survey and location analysis. Rounding out the feasibility study is a usage concept with mission statement, usage blend and target-group definition, along with an execution concept that includes a profitability calculation and the scheduling upon which this is based.
