S-68: Office Building with View of Hamburg HafenCity

meters (40,000 square feet) for rent in Hamburg HafenCity. In spring 2004, just half a year after laying the foundation stone, the investor and builder Drees & Sommer celebrated the topping-out ceremony of the office building at Sandtorkai.

The first tenants are expected to move into their new portside space in autumn. The building by the architects Ingenhoven Overdiek is suffused with light and impresses with its clear contours and the great flexibility of its floor plan. The generous expanse of its glass façade offers a view of the Elbe, the port of Hamburg and the historic warehouse district. Thermic concrete core tempering and a fiberglass network link are part of the modern building concept. Drees & Sommer Hamburg, responsible for development management, plans to occupy two floors itself. Until it is completed, the Hamburg team will be in charge of managing the entire project including marketing and space rentals.
