Moscow: "Sustainable Development - More Than Green" Conference

On December 9, 2009 international Green Building experts will meet at the Marriott Grand Hotel in Moscow to discuss sustainable buildings.

The event is a response to the increasing development of sustainability in Moscow and the surrounding area. Christian Donath, Managing Director of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and Member of the Executive Board of the World Green Building Council, will make a presentation entitled "Sustainable Development - More Than Green". In his presentation "Russian Green Building Council - Towards to Sustainable Standards" Guy Eames, Member of the Executive Board of the Russian Green Building Council, will examine the direction in which certification is developing on the Russian market. Dimitry Pavlotzky, Senior Project Manager with Drees & Sommer Russia will present examples from current practice. He will present a paper on "Achieving Lasting Value-Add with Green Building - First Experiences in Russia and the CIS".
The conference will be moderated by Steffen Sendler, Managing Director of Drees & Sommer Russia and Niko Rickert, Member of the Executive Board of the Moscow-based Club of German(-Speaking) Architects and Engineers.
