Leipzig University has honored years of commitment on the part of Prof. Dr. Thomas Bohn, Partner and Managing Director
Drees & Sommer Munich.
On January 20, 2010 Prof. Dr. Thomas Bohn was awarded the Leipzig University Medal. In this way, the university recognized his long-term contribution to the Institute for Urban Develop- ment and Construction both in teaching and research.
Back in 1997, Prof. Dr. Thomas Bohn was already lecturing in project development and project control at the University of Leipzig. Based on his main occupation as Managing Director of the Drees & Sommer subsidiaries in Munich and Nuremberg, he integrated real estate and construction practice into teaching at the Institute for Urban Development and Construction. In recognition of his academic achievement, he was awarded an honorary professorship in project development and project control in the year 2000.
The focus of his activities at Drees & Sommer - in addition to project management - are primarily user management for office facilities, finance and investment controlling, and the redevelopment of established properties. His numerous reference projects include project management for the BMW Museum in Munich.
