Drees & Sommer has been awarded a contract as technical consultant for the construction of the new Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Berlin.
Drees & Sommer was successful in the procedure for the award of professional services and will support the Public Private Partnership project until completion of the contract in the summer of 2011. Drees & Sommer is responsible for developing the specification for construction and operation, and will advise the contract award office on assessment of tenders in this area.
The new ministry will be built directly next to the river Spree on the side opposite Parliament. This is the federal government's first civil PPP high-rise project.
