Drees & Sommer at MIPIM 2010

23.02.2010

At MIPIM 2010, international decision-makers from the real estate industry will look at current trends and new challenges in property markets.

This year Drees & Sommer will be represented at the fair from 16 - 19 March at various locations with our booth partners from the cities of Berlin (H4.28), Frankfurt (R33.07), Hamburg (H4.30), Luxembourg (A0.06), Munich (R33.08), Nuremberg (H4.20) and Stuttgart (H4.24).

"We use the international platform of MIPIM for contact with experts from all over the world. Growing internationalization increases the importance of driving cross-border energy-optimization of established properties. The future will also see an increase in Corporate Identity Buildings being implemented as economically viable properties that create quality levels and standards that will be seen positively worldwide. There is also a clear trend to ever-greater diversification of properties and locations, resulting in relocations in the area of commercial properties", says Dr. Andreas Blaschkowski, spokesperson of the
Drees & Sommer AG Executive Board.

Economically and ecologically sustainable construction is proving to be a long-time favorite in the industry. As part of a study by dena (German Energy Agency) and rudena (Russian-German Energy Agency) in preparation for the Winter Olympics 2014 in Sochi,
Drees & Sommer analyzed how the primary energy demand for the Olympic buildings could be reduced by up to 70 percent compared to average Russian properties. In Austria,
Drees & Sommer has been commissioned to certify the new Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration building with the DGNB certificate of the Austrian Sustainable Building Council (ÖGNB). Drees & Sommer is also an international player in commercial property, with major international projects in Germany, Belgium and Turkey.

On March 18, Thomas Jaißle, Managing Director of Drees & Sommer Stuttgart, will give a presentation entitled 'How to get established buildings fit for international markets' at the City of Stuttgart booth (H4.24). In this context, he will show opportunities for sustainable economic and ecological optimization of properties.
