Openening of the Centre for Neuropathology and Prion Research

At the beginning of March the Centre for Neuropathology and Prion Research (CNP) was opened by representatives of the University Munich and the land Bavaria.

The centre is located on the ground of the University Hospital Munich-Großhadern. The new building for the research of neuro-degenerative diseases comprises 2500 square meters of utilisation area and is connected with the existing institute for surgical research and pathology - and takes over the existing dimensions and room structures. By means of the predominantly glazed façade the building signals openness and transparency. For this project Drees & Sommer Munich took over the schedule planning and control and thus facilitated a very short time period of implementation. Thanks to the tight schedule management the construction time took only 20 months.
