Drees & Sommer GmbH as Co-Sponsor of the Konrad-Adenauer Medal

30.03.2004

For the first time this year the city of Colognes awards the Konrad-Adenauer Medal concerning the subject "Living and working in a city.

Innovative contributions to the development of a city worth living worldwide, to the European integration or to maintaining and strengthening the municipal self administration in a Europe which is growing together". The prize is 20,000 Euro and is to be awarded every two years. In times short of cash this awarding could only be initiated through the support of sponsors, among others Drees & Sommer Cologne. The prize was awarded to Raymond Barre, former French Prime Minister, for his efforts as mayor of Lyon. During his period of office he took care that degenerate districts were brought back to life and endeavoured to make Lyon a liberal-minded and cosmopolitan city.
