Ostalb-Klinikum Aalen: Vom Krankenhaus zum Gesundheitszentrum
12.01.2004
On December 19, the ground was broken for the patient hotel, the last new building for the completion of the restructured Ostalb-Klinikum (clinic) in Aalen.
By 2006, the old district hospital will have completed its transformation into a modern health center. In recent years, new delivery rooms have been taken into operation, and more recently a multistory car park with helicopter landing pad. Other sub-projects - such as the medical services center - are about to be commissioned. The cost of the overall project amounts to some #45 million.
Drees & Sommer Stuttgart has been managing the remodeling since the start in 2000. The project managers carried out the contract award process and planning appraisal. Optimum project management led to a significant reduction of costs, thus achieving a high level of profitability for the clinic.
