Foundation stone laid for new ward building and inauguration of the new central kitchen
On July 21, 2010, the Baden-Württemberg Minister for Social Services Dr. Monika Stolz and Ravensburg District Administrator Kurt Widmaier laid the foundation stone for the new St. Elizabeth Hospital ward building. The building, which offers 360 beds, is scheduled for completion in 2012.
This was followed by the handover and inauguration ceremony for the new central kitchen of the Oberschwabenklinik (Upper Swabian Clinic) in neighboring Weingarten. The new kitchen will supply all six Oberschwaben- klinik sites.
The investment in the two projects totals some EUR 190 million. Drees & Sommer supported the District of Ravensburg with feasibility studies and selection of planners, and continues to undertake project control.
