Topping-out ceremony celebrated.
In addition to its capacity for 510 inmates, the prison has 200 places for vocational training and 170 for education. Drees & Sommer is responsible for the control of the project's costs, schedules and quality. Owner of project is the "Bau- und Liegenschaftsbetrieb (BLB) Düsseldorf".
On March 18, 2010 - just nine months after laying of the foundation stone - the topping-out ceremony for the prison was held in the presence of Peter Jung, Mayor of Wuppertal, Roswitha Müller-Piepenkötter, Justice Minister of North Rhine - Westphalia, and other government and business guests.
