Annueal meeting of the VIP3000-Association pharmaceutical industry interest group

This year, members met in Hamburg for the annual internal symposium on October 13 and 14. Around 40 participants exchanged views on important topics in the life sciences industry, including digitalization and sustainability.

Two presentations from the group contributed to the topics of digitalization and sustainability. Jan Christoph von der Lancken, Leading Consultant EPEA GmbH, addressed sustainability in the industry. The topic of digitalization was presented by Rino Woyczyk, Life Sciences Industry Partner at Drees & Sommer, in a talk on the Robodog and future quality control on the construction site.

He discussed the history, technical key data, possible areas of application in the real estate industry and current challenges.
3-D scanners on the construction site are a step towards digitalization that saves time and costs. With 3-D scanning technology, the status quo of the building shell is digitally recorded. Discrepancies between BIM planning and reality can be detected and eliminated at an early stage during reconciliation.
