New Logistics Center Completed in the Industrie Center Obernburg
The Industrie Center Obernburg (ICO), located south-east of Frankfurt am Main in Germany, has a new building. The new logistics center was handed over at the beginning of November. Owner of the building is the ICO operating company Mainsite GmbH & Co.KG. The new construction offers a high degree of automation inside the building, and the roof is the largest green roof in the German federal state of Bavaria. Drees & Sommer provided guidance and support as the project manager.

Smart Building Solutions 2020: Platforms Create Additional Added Value
A new edition of the Smart Building Solutions symposium – Drees & Sommer will organize the expert conference together with the RWTH Aachen University’s research institution FIR Institute for Industrial Management. The event takes place in the Smart Logistics Cluster of the university campus on April 1 and 2, 2020. One main focus will be on platforms which can intelligently link planning, construction and user data.

Freiburg Perspectives: The City as a Raw Materials Repository
On November 22, 2019, the Freiburg office of Drees & Sommer invites participants to the second edition of Freiburger Perspectiven. The guest speaker will be Professor Dr. Michael Braungart, one of the developers of the Cradle to Cradle design principle, who will speak about the potential of this innovative concept for the German city of Freiburg.
Our way towards circular buildings
Every year the C2C Café organizes a number of seminars to bring together and inform professionals about current sustainability issues in the real estate sector. Last month the seminar took place in the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven with the subject: Cradle to Cradle, Circular buildings and Material Passports. Our colleagues Hein van Tuijl (EPEA - part of Drees & Sommer) and Michael Moradiellos del Molino (Drees & Sommer Belgium) updated the participants on the subject during the meeting.
