On June 11, 2015, real estate lindustry leaders came together in Westhafen Berlin under the motto “Innovative, livable, affordable – How will we build tomorrow?” Drees & Sommer presented a new Cradle 2 Cradle® showroom.
How innovative and digitized is the real estate industry in Germany? What economic and social impacts will the expected innovations result in? These are the questions the experts discussed in Berlin. High-caliber keynote speakers included Dr. Barbara Hendricks, Federal Minister for Environment, Construction, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, Günther Oettinger, EU Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Society, and Thomas Oppermann, Chair of the SPD Bundestag parliamentary party.
In parallel to the plenary session, Drees & Sommer experts present future-oriented topics in an innovation workshop. Associate Partner Andreas Schele together with Dr. Christian Glock (Bilfinger Hochbau) and Dr. Frank Meininger (law firm Menold Bezler) gave a presentation on the life-cycle projects model.
Cradle to Cradle Ambassador for the real estate industry
Dr. Peter Mösle, Drees & Sommer Partner, gave a paper on the Cradle to Cradle principle and its integration into the construction and real estate industries. As C2C Ambassador, Drees & Sommer presented the new Cradle to Cradle showroom in the viciinity of the plenary session: Many visitors took the opportunity to learn about the principle of material cycles.
