The winners of this year’s BIM Award will be honored on April 10, 2018. This will be the second occasion on which BIM Cluster Baden-Württemberg e.V. will have paid tribute to outstanding BIM projects in the German federal state of Baden-Württemberg.
The digital planning method known as Building Information Modeling (BIM for short) is gaining more and more importance within the construction and real estate industry. Many principals and firms have already recognized the advantages of this methodology and are keen to employ it in their projects. BIM Cluster Baden-Württemberg launched the BIM AWARD as a way of identifying and honoring the proficiency achieved by practitioners in the use of BIM. Competition participants included project developers, craft businesses, associations, universities and higher-education institutes, each of which submitted examples of their best BIM work. The competition focused particularly on projects in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg.
The BIM AWARD winners in six different categories (craft enterprises/SME; processes/organization; research; teaching; infrastructure projects; and building construction projects) will be revealed at Stuttgart’s House of Architects on April 10, 2018. Katrin Schütz, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economics, Labor and Housing of the State of Baden-Württemberg, will be attending the event as a guest speaker.
