Fritz-Walter-Stadion in Kaiserslautern

The KaiserKarree is being designed as a whole new urban district on Kaiserslautern’s Betzenberg hill. The concept envisages a mixed use development which brings together different clusters such as residential accommodation, offices, healthcare services, sports facilities, hospitality, and food and beverage outlets under a single roof. The city of Kaiserslautern, represented by the Fritz-Walter-Stadion Kaiserslautern GmbH, wishes to enhance the quality of the site and intensify the use of the Fritz Walter soccer stadium and the Betzenberg location. In the context of this project, the infrastructure, sports and entertainment experts at Drees & Sommer have prepared the change-of-use concept and developed various usage scenarios.
