New Convention Center, Rome

The Nuovo Centro Congressi Roma is a convention center with a hotel building. The building can be roughly divided into two main areas: the Teca and the Lama. The Teca is a glass cube, which mainly performs the function of a huge lobby with cloakrooms and conference rooms. In this large, column-free space floats an organically shaped, white cloud - La Nuvola - which houses an auditorium for around 1,800 people, a foyer, and an Italian coffee bar. At some distance from the glass cube stands the black, blade-shaped hotel, the Lama, which comprises 450 hotel rooms for people attending conventions.
