In Pforzheim, ALDI SOUTH is realizing a showcase project in terms of urban development and local supply: Senior apartments and a day care center are being built above the retail space in a city center location.

On a site area of around 2,800 square meters, the ALDI SOUTH store on the first floor of the building will have around 1,600 square meters of usable space, of which around 1,000 square meters will be retail space. A parking garage with a total of 64 parking spaces will be built above the store.

An L-shaped structure above the parking garage and the supermarket provides space for a daycare center with four groups, 43 apartments for assisted living and rooms for nursing staff.

A Drees & Sommer team is responsible for project management. The experts are also coordinating other external service providers and are responsible for project controlling. They were also responsible for the general contractor tender for the client.
