At the end of September 2023, Ottobeuren Hospital celebrated the successful completion of its extensive modernisation work, including extensive conversions and new buildings. Drees & Sommer supported the project not only with classical project control and project management tasks, but also with coordination with the funding authority, the procedures of the procurement ordinance and anti-claim management.

The hospital was modernised and adapted to today's standards. A modern operating theatre and functional wing is now located in the western part of the hospital. This has three state-of-the-art operating theatres. A new intensive care unit with nine beds was built in the north of the building.

The existing operating theatres and intensive care units were also extensively renovated in the second construction phase. In addition, the interdisciplinary emergency department, radiology and functional diagnostics received completely new furnishings and equipment. A modern room concept, which emphasises bright rooms and short distances, as well as a newly designed cafeteria round off the overall picture of the Ottobeuren Clinic. In future, not only acute care but also specialised medicine at a high level will be offered here.

A forward-looking project for patients and staff.
